I'm stunned when I ask my friends who are Democrat if they know the history of their party, especially concerning the Democrat party founder Andrew Jackson and the Trail of Tears among other events, and they have literally no idea what I'm talking about. If you want to be on the winning side of history in the age of knowledge, start by reading the history of your own people and draw a line from then to now. Turn off the TV because those people don't know any more than you do, and start reading American history - and world history if you can find the time. Figure out how we got here and what's going on today - it has a profound effect on your understanding of current events and your ability to make good choices.
