Lines of Code has been wholesale abandoned as a metric by the entire software industry which collectively realized years ago that unskilled programmers write more lines of code than skilled ones, producing slower and bulkier software with greater technical debt. Elon spent a little too much time in the mechanical world apparently and forgot how software is developed. It will be interesting to see what kind of dumpster fire Twitter will become without it’s most talented and creative devs.
