This is outstanding information. Having worked in software for about 10 years on widely varying projects around the US, each time I have seen a manager running the project, team, and brand into the ground, it was always the result of the manager thinking they knew better than literally everyone else around them, and therefore acting as though they are the end-all source of wisdom ready to impart it on everyone else whether it actually helps or not. It never does. That kind of management only “works” on people who lack enough awareness and experience to see the reality of the situation and get out.
