Well this is interesting. Really there is no reason why Apple can’t build its own chips and have them outperform Intel silicon on the same platform. It’s their own product, like building the engine for your own cars, so there is zero reason why they can’t make it work. What I produce on my MB Pro is either run on cloud VM, mobile phone, embedded device, or web browser. So, I could care less whether my laptop is running an Apple or Intel processor so long as it runs cool and smooth and I can still produce software, music, and other assets. Let the Windows kids have Intel, there are plenty of them to support it for decades to come. I don’t need an instruction set from the 1970’s so I’ll take the Apple Silicon please, thanks.
